Cherryland Contributes $50,000 To Help Small Businesses Affected by Pandemic
In June, the co-op announced that it is contributing $50,000 to a regional grant program aimed at helping small businesses affected by the economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Cherryland board voted to give to the Regional Resiliency Fund (RRF), a joint program of local economic development organization, Traverse Connect, and their partner organization, Venture North, that provides grants to small businesses in Benzie, Grand Traverse and Leelanau Counties.
The RRF is designed to support businesses with nine or fewer full-time employees in the three-county area negatively impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. These businesses can apply for grants up to $5,000.
