Right-of-way Tree Trimming

Trees are undeniably beautiful and greatly enhance the quality of life in our community. They offer a natural shield against the scorching summer sun and help buffer the harsh winter winds, resulting in energy savings for your homes and businesses.

However, it’s important to address the fact that falling trees and branches are a significant cause of power outages. This is why, at times, it becomes necessary to prune or remove trees to maintain the safety and reliability of our service.

Here at Cherryland, we conduct regular tree trimming throughout our service territory on a 5-7 year rotation to ensure that we actively manage vegetation and effectively address any potential risks associated with trees and branches.

Our goal is to control the vegetation that threatens power lines so that we can maintain a safe and reliable electric system so trees in non-yard areas will be cleared to the full extent of the easement area. Shade and ornamental trees in lawn areas will be trimmed back to provide the necessary clearance from the electric lines.
